Description
Like many insects, fruit flies have four life stages – egg, larvae, pupae and adult. Male fruit flies require protein to become sexually active and females need constant protein to continue to lay eggs.
- Watch for puncture wounds
- Check for secondary infections
- Keep an eye out for maggots in fruit
- Search for flying adult insects
