Lime is a naturally occurring mineral that is used to sweeten sour or acid soils whilst at the same time provide plants with essential plant nutrients – calcium. Soil acidity is express as pH. The lower the pH the more acid the soil. Lime helps to raise the pH and assist in releasing nutrients trapped in the soil. Especially suitable to use on beans, peas, sweet peas, lawns & tomatoes. Not suitable for use on acid-loving plants.
